The LEAPS Program (Life-Giving, Education, And, Personal Stability) empowers individuals through educational opportunities-including classes on brain function, financial coaching, and more that pave the way toward lasting independence. In addition to education, we offer personal and spiritual support through encouragement, mentoring and Bible studies, walking along side our neighbors to support the whole person. If the class is scheduled around lunch time a meal will be provided.
Classes will begin November 1st.
The "Real Life Conversations" class is comprised of several elements. Fundamentally, it utilizes the "Brain Thrive by 25" course from Amen Clinics. This is augmented by the inclusion of the Amen Clinics method, a comprehensive integrative approach to mental health that combines the histories of a client's four circles of Health (biological, psychological, social, and spiritual) to identify the root cause of issues, rather than just symptoms. The goal is to "fix the hardware (the brain)" in order to improve the "software (the mind)" and boost overall brain health. Therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are also used to teach clients how to challenge negative thoughts and improve their quality of life.
The class is facilitated by Bruce Schramm, an independent Brain Health Coach and Trainer who was certified in 2001 through Amen Clinics Inc., California. Additionally, Bruce has facilitated Life Skills classes for Freedom Life Skills in Green Bay, WI, an affiliate of Life Skills International, for 10 years.
